Before I order a certificate from the GRO I thought Id ask if anyone has any more info. I cant find what I need on Ancestry or FindMyPast.  I am looking for the parents of Brown Hodgson who married Hannah Collinson September quarter 1847 in Weardale.

Cross-checking that against the 1847 marriage, which is on the index on Durham Records Online, confirms groom's father's name was John.

Ok Trees have Jane as nee STOUT and indeed there is a Marriage 1807 Stanhope.

Note on Marriage;
The first time in Banns she is described as of the "Parish of Allendale, the second and third time they are "Both of this parish"

1851 Census has a Jane Hodgson born c 1782 Allendale, Northumberland, Widow.

Hard to know at this stage if that is the right Marriage as there is also one Jane GIBSON/John HODGSON 1 Dec 1810 Stanhope.

Browns Bapt has abode as Greenpit Head, Father a Miner.

You need to sort out all Bapts of John/Jane 1807-1815 for example to try and sort out if yours is the son of Jane Stout or Jane Gibson
