Help please making sense of Army WW1 Record
« on: Tuesday 24 November 20 13:56 GMT (UK) »
Am researching this Previously Unknown King's Liverpool Pal life
He Enlisted 1/09/1914  into 3rd King's as Pte 15739 Frederick Beaumont,  Father William of 300 Anfield Rd
He transferred to 17th Pals
But was Killed per  CWGC and Soldiers Effects in 13th King's on 13 April 1917

I found this Attestation Record

Turning the pages one page shows Left leg Amputation Sept 1915 ?

Another page transferred to UK on SS Dieppe 2/08/1916 with GSW to thigh

How was he killed at Arras 13/04/1917 ?

Are some records mixed up with another Soldier  ?

On p 65431 of 67969 on ancestry [once you have looked up Frederick Beaumont's attestation] it appears that Pte Thomas Proudman has number 15739 from 10th Lancs [crossed out] & 12th Kings Liverpool R D Coy who is the one who has his left leg amputated, I think.

Brilliant Josey,
I can see it now perhaps I should have gone to Specsavers.

But would you agree after being Shot in 1916 and sent back to UK  he was sent back to the Front to fight ?

Yes, looks like he was posted back in October 1916 p 65338 on ancestry.

ADDED: I have cropped this page, not sure if we are allowed to post whole pages from subscription websites.

Agree although the image for Proudman is 65341.  Beaumont was posted back in Dec 1916 (on his statement of services).  One of 40 casualties in an attack at Guemappe.

It is with great difficulty I share with you that in the early hours of 07 August 2021, Maximilian passed away unexpectedly but peacefully.

With deep sadness,
