Death of a nurse
« on: Wednesday 25 November 20 16:13 GMT (UK) »
I'm trying to find out about the death of a nurse in the Queen Alexandra's Reserve, whose gravestone is in my local town. Her name was Mary Watson, and according to her file at the National Archives she died on November 6th 1918 at Fargo Military Hospital near Salisbury. Her gravestone is in Crieff, Perthshire, Scotland where her family lived. I have been searching ScotlandsPeople and the GRO and I cannot find a death certificate for her. Must there be one somewhere? Or is it at all possible that in among the influenza pandemic and the Armistice it may not have actually been officially registered?

She was born 1886. But that is the correct quarter and the most likely district. I'm not familiar with Wiltshire so hadn't picked that up!
