How to find ATS records
« on: Thursday 26 November 20 00:18 GMT (UK) »
I have read the stickies and the Gov.uk notes about applying for service records for deceased people.

My grandmother was in the Auxillary Territorial Service for at least two years during WW2. She was trained to take down coded morse messages the forces in England intercepted and to pass them onto people to decipher.

I cannot see whether the ATS is included in the armyís records and I donít want to pay the £30 if the womenís ATS isnít included.

Does anyone know whether theyíre included in the searches that are done once you pay your £30? If not, is there another place to get her records pls?

NB. She died 12 years ago.

The Essex Digbys of Finchingfield/Little Sampford & Pimlico, London + Pidgeon-Howletts of Norfolk + Grews of Stoke Newington/Bethnal Green + Pearse of Hitchin, Herts + Hills of Bedfordshire and Brampton, Hunts.

ATS documentation is with MOD like all other women's service records - WRENS and WAAF.
