Who do you think you are - Liz Carr
« on: Friday 27 November 20 16:09 GMT (UK) »
I have not seen any posts about this episode.
I just wanted to say that I was very excited at one point, when Forkhill was on a sign post, 4 miles away. My ancestors Hugh and Jane McNeill lived there and I rarely see Forkhill mentioned.
Just saying 8)

It is exciting when you see something or somewhere that you know on the telly.  :D  Even better if you see someone you know.  ;D

I've seen my son on the telly a few times where he works.  In the background though, not speaking to anyone.  Ridiculous how thrilling it is  ::)

I am afraid I found this one rather boring. Possibly the lack of comment means others did as well.

I am ashamed to say that I watched the show, but cannot remember anything about it.

There were only four episodes, and I think she was the fourth, but it's a few weeks now since it was on so not so fresh in the memory - which might also explain the lack of comments here.

That particular angle on Irish history doesn't crop up in every series, and I seem to remember enjoying it at the time - certainly I don't remember disliking it.
Researching among others:
Bartle, Bilton, Bingley, Campbell, Craven, Emmott, Harcourt, Hirst, Kellet(t), Kennedy,
Meaburn, Mennile/Meynell, Metcalf(e), Palliser, Robinson, Rutter, Shipley, Stow, Wilkinson

I watched it, and really, like most of you, can't recall much of the actual family history bit. Wonder why? And yes, there were merely four episodes in this series. The "Rinder" thingie was something else.
Threlfall (Southport), Isherwood (lancs & Canada), Newbould + Topliss(Derby), Keating & Cummins (Ireland + lancs), Fisher, Strong& Casson (all Cumberland) & Downie & Bowie, Linlithgow area Scotland . Also interested in Leigh& Burrows,(Lancashire) Griffiths (Shropshire & lancs), Leaver (Lancs/Yorks) & Anderson(Cumberland and very elusive)

It seems that the Judge Rinder episode was on in August 2018, so some while ago.
