Thanks Mirl
Useful info that looks as if we are on the right track.
Just need a 1944 or post war directory as further confirmation.

Stay safe

Ancestry only has London directories up to 1943 but these two addresses only appear again in 1941 and with the same two residents (Whitehead instead of Whitehair, Bertram instead of Bertie).
Richardson, Sherman, Gillam, Hitchcock, Neighbour, Groom, Walton, Strange, Littleford, Brown, Guy, Abbs, Tasker, Bartlett, Farey, Etteridge

Thanks mirl
I am not sure what I am doing wrong but I do have a full subscription to ancestry and in mine I can  only see 1924-37 for the Hornsey etc area
In the 1937 Kellys Directory
512 is Leslie Whitehead greengrocer
514 Mrs K Whitehead draper :-\

In the 1941 directory
interestingly there is also at
524 Forsdike Leslie grocer
I think we are in the right location and getting close to the answer
My assumption would be some consolidation occurred what exactly we need the search to continue to tell
Thanks for all the efforts
