Rankin St, Hammersmith - where was it in 1901? Doesn't exist now.
« on: Sunday 29 November 20 22:55 GMT (UK) »
Hello,
I would like to know where exactly my great GF was born and raised; he's on the 1901 census in Rankin Street, Hammersmith. It doesn't exist now but I lived in that area for a long time so I know many parts of it were rebuilt for various reasons.

I've tried to look it up on old maps but I'm not very good with them. Can anyone give me a link please, possibly with a modern day equivalent next to it. I know that's possible but I cannot work out how to do it.

Am grateful for your help, as ever.

Thanks Carole, was trying to post in the correct place but hadn't realised others had kindly responded on the handwriting thread already. :)

It does still exist - see your other thread.

Lovely houses in Rankin Strret.  :)
