His father is clearly named as his next of kin on his attestation in 1914.( You have to scroll through a lot of pages to reach this page) His wife is added on the sheet in question after their marriage. Have you seen this page? I saw the pension pages you refer to before reaching this information and while perhaps odd I would have thought that there is enough on his service record and elsewhere to identify his father as John William Frost.

William
Dent (Haltwhistle and Sacriston), Bell and Jetson (Haltwhistle), Postle, Ward, Longstaff, Purvis, Manners, Parnaby and Hardy (Co. Durham), Kennedy and McRobert (Banffshire), Reid(Bathgate), Watson (Wemyss), Graham (Libberton), Sandilands (Carmichael), Munro (Dingwall)

According to school records Amy's dob was the 5th January 1904. Amy appears to have married Robert Edwards as below and they can be found with her dob on 1939 register.

Marriages Sep 1936
Edwards    Robert    Frost    Wrexham    11b   634
Frost            Amy            Edwards    Wrexham    11b   634

Think this is Amy's death although dob out by 20 days

Amy Edwards
25 Jan 1904   Oct 1972   Oct-Nov-Dec   Wrexham   Denbighshire

Who is the other sister you are missing.

John

Mudmonster, Maud's birth registration has her only as Maud (you say Maude Irene) Ii does appear as Maud I on the 1901 census, aged 10. If this is correct then I do not believe she ever married. There is a death of a Maud Irene Frost in Oxford in 1972 with a dob given as 10th July 1890. She appears on the 1939 register with this dob but 10.7.1891. There is a probate record for her. It appears her sister Isabel and husband Orlando both died in the Oxford area as well.

John
