Clara Woodward (b 1872???)

Hi all,

I have just started looking into my family history and have found a relative that appears to be my 2nd great grandmother. Her name is Clara Keetley,nee Woodward, born about 1871/72. She married Joseph Keetley in 1893, which appears to be not long after she left the York Street workhouse(??) and died in 1940. This is about all I have found,apart  from 3 children.

I can't find any information on her parents or on any census or the 1939 register.

The only Woodward/Halling marriage was William Henry Woodward to Ann Halling in June qtr 1853 Tewksbury

I think this marriage is a very strong possibility for Clara's parents

Ellen's age looks like 14
There is a birth reg Jun qtr 1870 Nottingham for Ellen Woodward mother's maiden name Hallings
I cannot find this Ellen on 1871 census
there is a death reg Sept qtr Nottingham Ellen Woodward age 0
so maybe they had another Ellen - so confusing with ages etc

Thank you guys, hopefully I will be able to find out more info.It was the not being able to find her on the 1881 census that confused me, it was like she just disappeared.

Does anyone know if there is a way to find workhouse records? Out of all the relatives we have traced Clara is the one I keep going back to, probably because I know next to nothing of her
