Hi, would you know where to find records of the 14th foot regiment online?

John Dowd was a pensioner at both his marriage and on 1901 census - was he serving in the army?

Here's confirmation of his army service.......his death in 1909 at Deerpark. His informant, daughter Katie advises that he was a sergeant, late of the 14th Foot Regiment.

You'll need to go on the subscription sites Ancestry or FindMyPast to look for records.

Alternatively, you could post on the 'Armed Forces' board here on RootsChat where the experts may be able to help. Please link any new thread to this one.
