Bridget McCarthy AKA Sister Dympna
« on: Thursday 03 December 20 13:30 GMT (UK) »
Bridget McCarthy was born 1890 in mallow Co. Cork Ireland.  She emigrated to America in 1906.  I know she became a teaching nun named Sister Dympna, I believe at St Rose Convent Meriden Connecticut.  She died there in either 1943 or 1945. I have been unable to find her in the Connecticut census (familysearch) to confirm information & wondered if there was a way to search the census by address ie the convent.  Not being familiar with American research I have started to go round in circles trying to confirm details.
Any pointers would gratefully received.
Many thanks & stay safe
