I can't see any parish register entry on line for this couple -- (doesn't mean there isn't one of course!) - but maybe they married in a Registry Office -- if so, it's unlikely to be on line and you will have to order the certificate.

(Now I've written that -- someone else will find it!!)
Places of interest;
Lancashire, West Yorkshire, Southern Ireland, Scotland.

If it's not online - you would need to know which church it took place in for a records office lookup.  If it was a civil marriage - it can't be looked up

The Battle RD covered many areas

Hi Jill

Sorry a bit late to the party and not sure if you have the information you need but I have copy of the marriage certificate.  James was my great (x3) grandfather.

28 January 1850 at the Parish Church, Ashburnham, Sussex
James Winchester of full age, bachelor married Sarah Catherine Williams of full age, spinster
He was a Labourer
They both resided at Ashburnham
His father was Thomas Winchester, labourer
Her father was James Williams, farmer

The witnesses were William Ticehurst and Mary Ticehurst

Any more information, please let me know

Happy New Year!
