« on: Sunday 06 December 20 20:44 GMT (UK) »
This soldier is meant to be Thomas Frederick Beaumont of the West Riding Cyclists Corps
Then the Army Cyclists Corps
Then transferred to 18th King's Liverpool Pals as 57624
And awarded M M

I need help please to find Sevice Medal in the Cyclists Corps and proof and confirmation it is all the same Soldier

The medal card for the Thomas F Beaumont Pte 57624, Lpool Regt is on Ancestry

That is the only service number and Regt on the card, no other service no or regt listed.

There's no doubt the first Photo was in the Cyclists but I have no evidence he became 57624 Thomas Frederick Beaumont in King's and this photo posted to Frederick Beaumont 15739 is meant to be the Cyclis when in transferred to the King's with his future Wife of Aug 1920 Jessie Skidmore.
To add to the puzzle a Frederick Beaumont married a Jessie Gratten/Grattan in Dec 1915

Unsure if this is just co-incidental, (or even if it helps!) but the Gazette entry has (Sheffield) in brackets so I wondered if that was where this soldier was from.

Need a bit of unscrambling I think.

What photo?  15739 Frederick Beaumont King's (Liverpool) Regiment died in action 13 April 1917.  Left his effects to his next of kin, his mother named as Ellen.  Served overseas only with KLR. from Nov 1915.  Not sure how he came into the story?

As has been said, 57624 Thomas [Frederick Beaumont has only KLR on his medal records.  If he had served overseas with the Cyclists then that would be on the same card.  Service in UK with the Cyclists beforehand is a possibility but is as you have seen not documented.

Sorry MaxD for confusion I should have given the Full story first.
Was preparing a Biography for the Liverpoolpals Roll of Honour site for unknown Soldier 15739 Frederick Beaumont all they had was a Photo of him in the King's  next to unknown Female. They had his Serial number and Date of Death 13 April 1917 and that's all.
I then created his Biography link herewith:-

https://www.liverpoolpals.com/soldier/?i=2823/15739-Lance%20Corporal-frederick-beaumont

I then also posted the final Biography on the King's Liverpool Regt site on Facebook
And got a Comment that the Photo was of 57624 Thomas Frederick Beaumont and his future Wife Jessie Skidmore
and that he had been in the West Yorkshire Div Cyclists before being Transferred to the King's in 1916
Trying to get Pals HQ to discover where they got the photo from to decide if it been posted to the wrong Beaumont or not.
Would you say the two photos look like the same bloke ?

I do see a likeness between the two photos but am the first to admit that face recognition is not my strong suit!  If right then that would suggest that the pic is of 57624.

Perhaps others have a view?
