Monica, you're a star!

I've just looked at Archibald's marriage and his parents are Alexander Clark and Catherine Grahame.

On both Agnes' December 1862 marriage and Archibald's June 1862 marriage both parents are listed as deceased.

Feel like I'm really getting somewhere here. It's quite exciting  ;D

Forfarian, I can't find the 1851 census you mentioned. I searched under all three names but can't find them...? Should I be able to find this on Scotlands People?
Yes, you should.

I have just looked and I am not surprised you had a problem because they are indexed on SP as Ann Dowel, Agnes (only one s) Clark and Archibald Clark!
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

There is a record of the marriage of Alexander Clark and Catherine Graham in Eastwood in 1829.

With Forfarian's ref to the marriage/banns for parents, assuming the same couple, they must have lost lots of children if the first living child was Agnes born c. 1840, from Duncan's 1841 census entry (which looks likely).

What was father Alexander's occupation from his children's marriage entries? We might be able to find him in 1841.

On both marriage certificates Alexander is lister as a flesher. On his own marriage record, Alexander is recorded as a weaver of Pollockshaws.

I was looking to see how many children Thomas Kenworthy and Agnes had to see if they followed any form of Scottish naming pattern. Looks like her parents, Agnes and Thomas did not have many living children (just one living son?).

One possible birth in Dublin in 1876? www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:F5BW-SPT

With your mention of occupation 'flesher' for Alexander, there is this possible entry for him in 1841:

Peter Calquhaun 55
Mos Calquhaun 45
Andreas Calquhaun 9
Peter Calquhaun 7
James Calquhaun 4
Alexander Clark 25 flesher...born out of the county
Thomas Clark 10
John Jammison 45

Address: Main Street, Eastwood

Alexander with another son? Mother Catherine with young Agnes living somewhere else? The 1841 census can be frustrating with the limitation on details.

I've so far only been able to find two children for Thomas and Agnes; James Thomas b. 1869 and Jane b. 1874. I don't know what ever happened to Jane (she doesn't appear on any censuses).

Thomas and Agnes stand out to me as they lived in so many different places (Edinburgh, Cheshire, West Yorkshire, Durham and Lancashire) and had so few children.
