My Mum in Blackpool - early 1930s
« on: Friday 11 December 20 15:38 GMT (UK) »
I've found lots of scanned images of Mum when she was in her prime, and I've not done anything to them except scan them  :-[

I hope you will have a go at restoring these two of her when she was on a day trip to Blackpool while staying with her elder sister, brother in law and nephew. The first is with this trio and the second is with a friend of the family and her son and my cousin.  All are now deceased.

As you know, I prefer b & w or toned to colour.

Thank you for any improvements that you can make.

PS - my Mum is the one with plaits around her ears  :)  I'm supposed to take after her!

Very light clean - too nice to wreck!

Love the 'attitude' of the older boy!  I wonder what they were celebrating - two Aussie flags and one which looks Greek. (or possibly USA)  and maybe a French or Dutch?

I nearly wiped out the dinosaur footprint before realising what it was!!   ;D  At least I think that's what it is!  :-\   Might be another flag . . . . .   :-\

And the other.    I left the sand on their legs - after all - they are at the beach.

Lovely happy photos! I think those flags were sold in packets at most British seaside towns so probably not significant which countries they represent. Interesting to that people just in their outdoor clothing - no leisure wear back then!
