Found the following burial info about Florence McDonald -
UT   1405   C
McDONALD   FLORENCE   1873   AUG   13   8MTHS   Painter Street, St. Margaret

Arthur McDonald married Fannie Cartlidge on 2/12/1887 (as found on Findmypast)
Fannie and family also travelled to America in 1880 and originally came from Staffordshire, I think.

I'm trying to piece together further information about Edward and Maria in the States and am happy to share when I've formalised my findings if you would like.

Which Trickett is your particular interest? I have a feeling we have 'met' before!

Thanks for all your help.

ColC -

Found them!

James and Harriett did follow Edward and Maria and moved to Bridgeport, Fairfield County, Connecticut in 1890.

The information on the 1900 US census also states that they had 4 children, all of whom died. :(

One Ancestry tree has Arthur married to Fanny below but tree notes parents as
Father:   (John) Henry Cartlidge, Mother:   Maria Pithers

CARTLIDGE, FANNY       mmn WALKER
GRO Reference: 1864  S Quarter in LEEK  Volume 06B  Page 235

Fanny Cartlidge Baptism   2 Oct 1864 Leek, Staffordshire

However I note that she is on the 1901/1911 census in Leek, with her husband. Went to USA in 1909, below

The manifest matches the above family, Fanny noted as born England in 1865, but no marching GRO to mother.
