Rivers Meet family photo - early 1930s
« on: Tuesday 15 December 20 17:26 GMT (UK) »
This is another photo of a photo taken by my niece on her iphone.

This one is my Mum with some inlaws.

From the left: my cousin, my great/grand aunt, her husband, my Mum still with her ear muffs and another cousin  :)

Strange family mine are - they wear proper clothes on the beach and swim suits in a field!

Grateful for any  improvements.

Just to add that this was one of the favourite local picnic/river swimming parts of the border area where I grew  up. One side of the River Ceiriog was in Wales and the other was in Shropshire.

Thank you for any repairs and improvements  :)

Thank you so much, Carol. I do like the oval  :)

I have quite a few scans of this outing - in the river using a log as a canoe, having a picnic, my grandmother (the avatar one) walking down the lane to the river, etc. but I didn't have this one .

Ian

You've managed to nearly get the colour of my Mum's hair with that tone. Her hair was dark but with a chestnut glow.  When she cut her plaits off, she kept them in a silk stocking. Over the years, my sister's plait and my ringlets were added .  :)

Thank you very much.

Oh that's lovely, Pat. Thank you.

They were all part of my early life. The great/grand aunt was only tiny - about 4 ft 10 in old money. Her mother was tiny too but her father was very tall. They said they made quite an odd couple   ;D
