Date and age of Brown brother

Please could you give us a guess of the year this photo was taken and the age of the sitter, he could be anyone of five Brown brothers.

I would suggest 1920's.
Agewise 35-40.

Thanks everyone, hope you don't mind me putting another question up, this might seem a odd question but from this photo could it be possible to say if he was a tall man, I know from looking at the jacket I would have guessed a small man but never having seen a jacket the same I am not sure.

Speculation and guesswork only:
Looking at size of head compared to shoulders and torso, and length of femur, I would say he was not tall. His hands look small too.

Sorry, Kerrill, there's really no reference point to help with his height. If the entire picture showed the floor under him you might be able to get an idea from the angle of his legs (assuming he's sitting on an average height chair) but failing that I don't think there's anything to go on.
