Medal Card question
« on: Tuesday 15 December 20 23:29 GMT (UK) »
Hello

I have managed to download my grandfather's medal card.   I had hoped it might show enlistment date but it has very little detail, most of which I can make sense of.  However under the section Medal, it says 'Victory' and in brackets (TF).  Can anyone tell me what the (TF) signifies?

Thank you.

There are the actual medal rolls on ancestry which marry up with the index card, you may get  dates on them
The post 1916 cards don't really contain much information.
If you post further info on your person there maybe more out there

His number and regiment and name may hold a clue to the enlistment date if you'd like to post them as Ady suggests?

It is with great difficulty I share with you that in the early hours of 07 August 2021, Maximilian passed away unexpectedly but peacefully.

With deep sadness,
