I need some help to find a first marriage

George Woodward born 1837 Berkeley Gloucestershire, parents John and Deborah Woodward. By 1841 the family had moved to Abergavenny.  In 1880 George gets married to Margaret Maysmith in Aberdare. Margaret born 1846 in Durham but had moved to Wales by 1871.  On the marriage certificate George is a widow, Margaret is single.  I can find very little about George between 1841 to 1881.  There is a George on the 1861 census married to Mary, living in Merthyr Tydfil, occupation butcher, but born in Aberdare, Glamorgan not Gloucestershire. Found a marriage to a Mary Williams in 1858 Merthyr Tydfil. 
Also came across 2 other marriages one on familysearch in 1861 to Eliza Lambert in Chepstow and in 1858 to Jane Cole in Thornbury. Ruled out the marriage to Jane as George's father on the certificate had George down not John.  On the 1880 certificate George was a horse dealer.

Is it possible that the 1861 census is wrong regarding were George was born?  I looked on the census for his parents and he is not living with them.

In 1851 the family are in Brynmaur, Llanelly, Breconshire all born Berkeley, Gloucestershire, except 8 year old Charles, George not present he is below.

County/Island:   Breconshire

Despite the above place of birth I would think George was born in Berkeley, Gloucestershire.

There's a George Woodward in the 1871 census at the Bridgend Hotel, Brecon. A visitor, married, horse dealer, age given as 30, birthplace given as Aberaman (which is where he lived per newspaper mentions).

Thank you Shaun and Colc,   You have reassured me that I have the correct marriage.  Did not know that his father was also a butcher, there are several butchers in the family.

Shaun,  I still cannot find the 1871 census regarding George, was hoping to view the original to say it he was married or a widow.  Found a death for a Mary Woodward in 1880 age 44, Merthyr T
