John bywater 1742 to 1826

Hi- I'm trying to locate the birthplace and parents of John Bywater born 1742 and died in 1826 ( 1826 living at Llanwnogg, Montgomeryshire). He had son Peter bywater ( born 1785 Glascwm) and married a Jane morris in 1771 at Llanbardarn Fynydd, Radnorshire. ( this was her second marriage- previously married to richard morris. I believe her maiden name was Jane Williams). I' ve been given the impression that both Jane and John were Welsh born ( ? Radnorshire) but can't locate baptism/ birth records or parents.
 ( one thing that's confusing me is that apparently my Bywater family originated from tanners in Yorkshire. Therefore I'm unsure whether this could have been John or was this prior to him.) If anyone can help??

I cannot see a birth for John in Wales but as you mention there are others possible in Yorkshire but the records online for Radnorshire are few.

It looks possible that John may have been married before.

Son Peter Bywater married Mary Jones 16 Feb 1806 Llanwnnog, Montgomeryshire

First Witness:   John Bywater
Second Witness:   Evan Morgan

Both of the witnesses signed many of the marriages around this time.
