Ehingen records
« on: Sunday 20 December 20 20:41 GMT (UK) »
I am researching my ancestors from Ehingen (Germany). I've searched on Ancestry, as well as Archion, and there is little to no information for Ehingen. Is there anywhere else I can search, or is this a dead end?

Have you looked under Wurtemberg or Baden-Wurtemberg?
Garrad (Suffolk, Essex, Somerset), Crocker (Somerset), Vanstone (Devon, Jersey), Sims (Wiltshire), Bridger (Kent)

They moved there after 1874 (last known child was born in Heidenheim in 1874)
Anything from there on.
Ehingen an der Donau, Baden-Württemberg, Deutschland (This is all I have)

David Friedrich Streicher
Friederike Auguste Knauss

Children: (All Streicher's)
Johan Georg Friedrich- 1864
Johan Georg - 1866
David Friedrich- 1868
Gustav Adolf- 1874

An obit for Johan Georg Streicher, in New York, indicated he had a sister. If it's true, she would've been born in Ehingen. It's either false information, or I just can't find it.
The first two children both came to the USA, unsure of the others.

I can´t find any sister born in Ehingen.
The first child, 1. Johann Georg Friedrich, born 1 Mai 1864 in Heidenheim, was born out of wedlock and first legitimized when they married in 1865. David Friedrich Streicher was resident in Nattheim at the time.
I have the birth record if you are interested.

Here´s a find in the Archive in Ludwigsburg

https://www2.landesarchiv-bw.de/ofs21/olf/struktur.php?bestand=18599&sprungId=9302165&letztesLimit=suchen

9th entry

"Beibringsinventar" of David Streicher and Friederdike Knauß

This is an inventory in which the assets brought into the marriage by the bride and groom were recorded.
The inventory starts with the place and date of the marriage, followed by a description of the man's property and then that of the woman.
