Sorry, yes on the parish register of Marys wedding it says James live in Moira, don't think I said certificate.

There was a James I found that would fit but can't be him as his daughter Mary is there, where as this Mary is with her husband.

The James with sister Jane Stewart I like and I know it says single in 1911 but does say widowed in 1901.

I really like the James Lavery and Mary Jane Whisker marriage in 1871, I'm sure I found a Mary Lavery birth with MMN as Whisker but can't find it now.

Thanks again for the help, I have no idea about the geography of all of these!

In 1896 on Marys wedding it says James lives in Moira
Very ambigious- could be either civil or church record.

I went to look at the civil record but am even more puzzled now. Groom's name?

Mary Lavery married Joseph Mackey
27/09/1896 Armagh

Mary's father was James Lavery listed as living and a labourer on the certificate and in Moira on the parish register.

Josephs father was Peter Mackey listed as living and a fowl dealer on the certificate and living Primrose Hill on the parish register

That is the civil record that I found which was a bit puzzling in light of 'Moira' beling listed as James Lavery's residence.

This record gives Mary's residence as Drumangh [?] Downs Armagh and her father James as 'living.'
Would this be the correct townland? https://www.townlands.ie/armagh/armagh/armagh-armagh-portion/drumarg/

You're probably right, aghadowey.

They married in Annacramp RC Chapel outside Loughgall, not too far from the centre of Armagh.

In fact about 3 miles from Armagh centre.

I gave an alternative Mary earlier but there may be more.

Thanks all,

So that's the Mary Jane Whisker marriage ruled out, great work.

Did say I like the Eliza Brady one, definitely looks the most promising,

Just finding a marriage, been looking everywhere and no luck!
