Where did Harriet and John KEBLE go after their Gnosall marriage in 1854?
« on: Tuesday 22 December 20 03:15 GMT (UK) »
Harriet was baptised at Gnosall, Staffs on 18 March 1832. Parents Thomas and Harriet.  She was 9th of 11 children all baptised there.

Harriet married John KEBLE at Gnosall on 9 October 1854. She was a servant and he was a labourer. John names no father, but he did sign his name, as did a witness James KEBLE and another, Sarah MADELEY.   Harriet marked.

After that I cannot find them anywhere. It is Harriet whom I want to dispatch on the tree. I have not found a likely death  in the first five years after their marriage.

I do not believe she is the Harriet KIBBLE death in 1859, Newport as there is a Harriet KIBBLE who that could be.

I have looked in the usual places and  checked Gnosall records at http://www.gnosallhistory.co.uk/church_records.htm  and see no death for Harriet nor baptisms for children of them.

 Can anyone see them?
 Thank you

Is this the marriage?   If not, can you identify it please.

FreeBDM     DecQ   1854    Newport S     Vol. 6a    Page   1513

SIMMITT Harriet   marr.  KEBLE John

What names do you have for siblings of Harriet......anything interesting that Harriet might give to her own childen?

Were all of her siblings married by 1854?

What did the rest of her family do......stay in England?.....emigrate to......??......and Harriet might have gone out to ......??....America / Canada / Australia / New Zealand??

Do you see Harriet in the 1851 Census?

Here’s a burial in 1859 in Gnosall of the correct age.
https://www.freereg.org.uk/search_records/59030e82f493fdf82a573213/harriet-kibble-burial-staffordshire-gnosall-1859-09-22?locale=en

Any reason, you ruled this one out?

Assuming she is the 1859 death I mentioned in my opening post I thought she was probably Harriet kibble the daughter of William & Emma Kibble b 1833. But, having said that, I cannot find the image for the 1859 burial at Gnosall.

And,,. Her husband was literate, he and another both signed Keble at the marriage.

I am willing to be convinced though. But where is the image?

Well, I think I am going to have to go with her. Thank you all for looking.   Can’t see Joseph on his own in 1861 as a widower which would be helpful.
