The Sunderland family is proving to be an enigma and I'm grateful for the continued interest.

My mention of Squire Sunderland has added to the confusion and I wonder if Family Search perhaps contains transcription errors - census ages - christening dates?

I started this post hoping to find the father (parents) of Thomas Sunderland born c,1787.  Despite turning over many stones the answer is far from clear.    All that appears to be clear is Henry Sunderland m Betty Walton in 1809 in Heptonstall
