John William 1727 Briton Ferry

John William 1727 born in Briton Ferry was my 4th Great Grandfather, and I was looking at my tree and wondering it was strange, he married Mary Thomas 1729-? in Baglan 14 Jul 1750, but the first child I have is in 1762 am I missing numerous?
John William 1762-1843
Hopkin William 1765-
Mary William 1768-1860
David William 1772-1803 my 3rd Great Grandfather
William William 1788

I think it would be helpful if you reviewed your information. Do you have a clear tree back to your 3xgreat grandfather? Census and bmd?
The siblings listed can't be the children of the couple you name when you consider their ages.
Ed. I had a quick look at the sibling Hopkin William and there is a tree on Family Search, it doesn't link any siblings.
