Esther Baggaley born c1802 Stoke-on-Trent
« on: Thursday 24 December 20 22:54 GMT (UK) »
Hi
I’m trying to find Esther’s birth and parents.
On the 1851 census she is living in Derby with her husband William Ball whom she married 4 April 1819 at Checkley. She gives her birth as 1802.
Many thanks.

Hmmm ... I can’t remember! I never thought to look on GRO (I’ve only just been directed to that recently.) Her mother’s name susannah would tie in daughter Eliza Susan too. It’s her son Frederic who is the direct descendent.
Thank you  :)

Ancestry have a marriage for William BALL and Esther BAGGALEY at Checkley on 4 April 1819. There is no image attached, perhaps she was a widow?

Modified to add:
Though she'd be pretty young.

The image for the Checkley marriage is available on FindMyPast.  Both are single, both signed the register.
