I know what I think this surname is, but I wouldn't mind some fresh eyes looking at it too!  Any suggestions are gratefully received  :-*

I thought Ryan initially, but couldn't see how you would form the R with the pen strokes used.

I saw “Ryan” at first, but another look at the pen strokes and I see “Logan”.

  Hi.... If I squint it could even be Logan.

 The capital L is the same as my nan used on her surname.

  Just adding an idea.

I am pleased that several of you are reaching the same conclusion that I had, which was that it was Logan (I started with Ryan, then went to Lyan and finally to Logan).

I think it definitely starts with an L, and ends with 'an'.

The document is a guest book - the only writing by Cecil V L*an is that signature.
