« on: Wednesday 30 December 20 00:23 GMT (UK) »
G'day all,

I am seeking information about John Whyte Black born about 1864 in place unknown, died 1933 in Leeton, New South Wales. I have been able to find some information on the Ancestry Library Edition, but nothing about his ancestors. I would appreciate your help. Thanks.

Is this the John W Black who married Margaret Sangster in 1901, Albury. If so, do you have the marriage certificate and what information does it give you?

Someone by the same name on a tree born 1864 in Wooragee, Victoria, Australia & married Elizabeth Veil

She was b 1859 Albury, New South Wales, Australia
Died 1906 Corowa, New South Wales, Australia

No marriage date/place.

Have you purchased his death cert. to see what info. it gives?

Add...Australian death index gives father as John.

Yes I agree. Looks like he was married twice. His marriage certificate might be the thing to look at for information about his parents.

If I were choosing which of the 2 marriage certificates to get, I would go for the first to ELLIOTT in Victoria 1894.

They are currently $20 and there is no waiting time in Victoria's system as they are downloaded to you computer immediately after payment .

This link below explains the process (remember it is indexed  as BLOCK not BLACK)
