Hi, all.
This an extract from the Cherington, Warwickshire, Parish Register for 1770. Can anybody identify where Richard Rose is from?

Stowerton?
It's a variant spelling of Stourton.

0.4 miles from Cherington!
(According to Google Maps!)
Garrad (Suffolk, Essex, Somerset), Crocker (Somerset), Vanstone (Devon, Jersey), Sims (Wiltshire), Bridger (Kent)

At first I though Howerton, but on second thoughts agree with KG, it might perhaps be Stowerton (Stourton).

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Thanks to all three of you.
