GRO Records
« on: Thursday 31 December 20 11:21 GMT (UK) »
I understand that some years records aren't available online via the General Register Office - births from 1937 to 84 and deaths from 1957 to 84.
Does anyone know why this is the case and when the GRO might publish these?
Thank you

It is because the company who were indexing them for the GRO stopped doing it  :).  There are a few posts on rootschat about it.

From a post by Guy -
DoVE proceeded a pace but unfortunately the contractor pulled out before the project was complete. The digitisation only covered births 1836-1934 & deaths 1836-1957. No marriages were digitised.
