HOUGHTON, THOMAS  HERBERT    Mother’s maiden name    STRINGFELLOW
GRO Reference: 1851  S Quarter in CHORLEY  Volume 21  Page 409

Bapt 28 Sept 1851.
Parents George and Hannah.  George = stationer

That's fascinating - Chorley, Staffs? I had assumed Lancashire, that is where my other Thomas Houghton (1816-1867) is from. This just gets more confusing...

(To recap, I have the older Thomas Houghton in my family tree - I don't know the connection with the younger, although he must be related, as we have these relics preserved)

One from me too.

To answer your question, it is fine for you to use the restored versions to print and share with Family members, if you put them online, it's appreciated if you mention that they were restored by RootsChat volunteers  ;)

Thomas died at Rivington nr Chorley and his brother Cedric was granted administration of his estate. He was unmarried according to the probate index.

Thomas’ sister Margaret was living at 38 Leyland Road Southport. Living with her was her brother Cedric who was a widower. Margaret was unmarried. I imagine Thomas was at this address when he died.

Cedric remarried in 1895 to Fanny Inman at All Saints Southport. They then lived in Preston and then to Colwyn Bay where he died in 1910 leaving a lot of money.
