No, just good luck I think Roobarb.
Went for a half hour’s stroll in the cemetery, bright sunshine and most of the frost on the paths melted away.
At special times the profusion of flowers is lovely ,no exception today .
On Mothering Sunday it is like a flower show.
Saw three super little ShiTzu dogs , jet black, luxurious coats ,the owner said they were “ Imperial ShiTzus”—— .
Got back ,hot bath, and hair washed, in rollers and now I look like Pansy Potter! Was that Beano or Dandy.?
Gosh the thrill when the weekly comic came ,I got the Knockout ,and later Schoolfriend.
Well it looks like another strict lockdown is on the way.
It is absolutely necessary, Health workers are on their knees.
Such idiocy from so many people , I don’t understand it at all.
Hope everyone is well and in good spirits , had a very long phone chat with a dog walking friend of ten years or more until her dogs died .
Her brother died last year so lots of first time without him anniversaries .
So we were on the phone two plus hours but she needed to talk .
We were a good gang, lots of laughs and jokes and support in sad times.
Mine was the naughtiest dog but at the same time the most obedient .
Every day at two -ish for two hours at least we strolled round the park and woods.
My dog , a Patterdale Terrier was an inveterate digger , deep in the woods she had her own trench system , it was all shallow runs and occasionally deep holes but in places where so overgrown people did not venture .
One day digging away a ‘ posh “ woman said “ Oh ! Whatever is that dog doing?” My response —“ Being a dog !”
No other dog dare dig where she was digging .
She would dig, then thrust her nose into the soft earth and take a deep sniff,
but nary a rabbit did she find!
It was her natural instinct.
Lots of bulbs peeping through, hyacinths now.
Fat buds on the little apple trees, I have not seen any Bullfinches ,but they do peck the buds of fruit trees.
All the bird food hangers are washed out and clean again, I have moved the big fat blocks which the starlings and blackbirds fought over, to another place so the little birds won’t be intimidated .
Still got to put Flash Harry’s Christmas present up somewhere , and plant Muscari bulbs which were in a jug from M&S ,another present.
Well I need a cuppa, could not think this morning what day it was - have no TV mag this week , fortunately it said it on the TV!
Read a letter that has been in quarantine for a week, today , I was aghast .
The couple who live in Aalst in Belgium had been to Edinburgh ,then London, then to Italy where they were both ill, with Covid 19, no mention of what treatment they had if any, but they travelled home having rented a car -—,which showed some sense, !
Wonder how many people they infected !
Well Cheerio, keep smiling , and look after yourselves .
Viktoria.
