Happy New Year,

Michael CROWLEY died age 22 in the Hereford Registration district in the 2nd quarter of 1870 (GRO).

Can someone please confirm or otherwise that he was the son of John and Catherine CROWLEY of Upper Bullingham.

Thank you for your reply.........sadly, I have no idea where he was born. However, as you mention Cork does that imply you have some details of his parentage.

Certainly a possibility, except that vital link is still missing. I tried the GRO for the three siblings born Hereford to establish a connection....no registrations, even with optional spellings??

I did exactly the same search. In 1871 Lenny becomes Dennis but still no birth or baptisms for any of them, possibly Catholic.

Michael Crowley aged 16 in 1863 was charged with highway robbery, reported in newspapers.
Mrs Crowley, for an alibi, was of 'Upper Bullingham' and had a husband John, a labourer.

Added: Another newspaper report gives her as being Catherine.
