Henry Rowles 1824-1891
« on: Friday 01 January 21 11:17 GMT (UK) »
This is the most precious photo I have. It is the only known photo of him.
It is of Henry Rowles who was born and died in Witney, Oxfordshire. He was a blanket weaver.
He was my great grandfather.
There is a lot of foxing but I am hoping someone can improve it for me.
If anything can be done I would be delighted.

Trooper Rollo.

Here's one that's not finished, but too many New Years football bowl games on today in the states.  More to do which I'll work on tomorrow.   ;)  A very distinguished gentleman!

Received a comment that I might have used too much plastic surgery or botox on Henry, so here he is again - after a bad night. :D

A huge thankyou to everyone that has contributed.
What a fantastic job you have done.
I will now print them all out and after a family meeting next week decide which one goes into the archive.
I can't thank you all enough. Fabulous.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL

Make sure you keep watching the post, Rollo. John-76 said he was going to do more work on his and there may be others wanting to have a go. Cheers, mate and Happy New Year to you and yours.
