charles R. Roberts
« on: Saturday 02 January 21 02:55 GMT (UK) »
Good morning,
Sorry, I don't have a lot of information on  Charles R. Roberts.

I understand Charles R. Roberts married Hilda M. Trueman in Scarborough in 1918.

Now, not sure if they moved to Hartlepool to live?

Sorry, I can't find any other information on the couple.

Kind Regards

Bullamore.

I would suggest that your first move is to purchase the marriage certificate - hopefully that will give you his age and his father's name.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Have you checked for any children?
And whether Hilda and children are on the 1939 National Register?

2 potential births in Scarborough, 1918 and 1920.
2 potential births in Hartlepool in 1922 and 1924.

Using the 1918 birth for Iris E Roberts - in 1939 it is possible that her grandmother is Minnie Trueman.  The 1911 census has Minnie Trueman with a daughter called Hilda  :-\

Iris Eileen Roberts born 1918 (GRO), a tree has her as marrying Mr Howe, so this death:

GRO  Iris Eileen Howe born   1918 , died 3rd quarter 2014 in Hartlepool

Aded:
That tree has her father as Harold  Wood - no other information.

Added:
1939  - F M P has a record open that Ancestry still has closed.

Some children registered under Wood/Trueman.

Wonder if she marries or just changes her name, eventually?

Added:
There is a marriage of a Hilda M Roberts to Mr Wood in Durham S E in 1965
