I've got to say you are a star. Thank you. Mum is so often right with her bits of knowledge but often does know where the bits fit. She now has dementia and therefore I can't question her anymore. Once again that you for taking the trouble to sort out my mystery. Mark

Just one thought. Can you tell where Daisy lived as I was told she lived in the Midlands? I wonder why the children were born in Ipswich as I don't think that town has a shoe history?

I don't know why they were in Ipswich but Daisy and Ada had 3 other siblings.

One called Kate and don't know who the other 2 were as not on census so may have died young.

The family are in Leicester 1891-1911 and Ipswich 1881 although Frederick is not with the family on that one.  He is in Leicester but as a boarder.

Charles Ernest Batchelor I think born Leicester 1891.
