A long shot:

Did you see that there is a Mary Mellis marrying in Brighton the following year. She may be a sister.

Jun 1922 Brighton 2b 486
HAYNES Edward
MELLIS Mary

You need to purchase the 1921 marriage cert, to get father’s name.

Jamjar

I think you can count out Edith Rosina, given this marriage

There is a Rosie Mellish aged 13 - a patient in Sussex Hospital, Brighton - born Brighton. She should be on 1901 if age is correct. (In 1911)

Could 13 year old Rosie be a member of this Mellish family of hawkers/gypsies just a short distance away in Rottingdean in 1911? :-\
Mallish on free index on familysearch for some reason. Richard in the newspapers on several occasions.

There's another family which may be of interest

Fred Millish & wife Clara (nee Stanley I think) - have connections with Brighton

I can't find any birth registrations for the children
