Advice on which website does include a search on trade/occupation or street is very welcome:-)

1871 census
Use Family Search, fill in William C King born 1852 Bethnal Green and it is there.
piece 471/folio 44/ page 8 to search Ancestry
FindMyPast is searchable by address and occupation but not fool proof. The entry by address was easy but the occupation search didn't find it.

Thanks Comberton.
Problem is that the father of Ada Emily Pay's (1844-1921) children is sometimes "William James" and sometimes just "William". His occupation on the birth certificates was "Barman at a public place" and "Licensed Victualler". Pretty sure it is the Bethnal Green clan of Kings in the London area. Kids were born between 1865 and 1872, but Mr King and Ms Pay never got married :o
Easter Greetings,
Robin
