Burial Liverpool
« on: Sunday 03 January 21 13:33 GMT (UK) »
Hi I'm looking for my great grandfather's burial records.

His name is: Arthur Edwin Paul
Occupation: Architect\Surveyor
Birthdate: 01/04/1883 Rotherham
Died June 1923 Liverpool At the Consumption Hospital Mount Pleasant TB. Could possibly be buried Everton as parents there. But if anyone can help that would be good!

Not seeming to come up with anything online.  This is what Liverpool City Council say about their burial records:-

Burial records
Burial records often include details of the deceased’s last address, age and occupation, vital information for family history research. We hold the records of Liverpool churchyards and cemeteries. These include private cemeteries and, from the mid nineteenth century, those maintained by the council.  The crematorium records from 1908 to 1992 are also available on microfilm.

Copies of inscriptions from gravestones often give biographical information about the deceased and other family members. A number of volumes of monumental inscriptions are kept in the Record Office.

The Ancestry website has digitised most of Liverpool’s parish graveyards, but not the municipal cemeteries. This can be accessed for free via the Digital Library on any Liverpool library computer.

am I being morbid by suggesting - if he had Consumption - he was probably Cremated at Anfield Crematorium as he had a contagious disease ??...can I ask which cemeteries you have searched - I live close to Allerton Cemetery and not far from Toxteth Cemetery - you say parents are buried Everton - would that be Kirkdale ?  and was Arthur a Catholic - if so have you tried Ford Cemetery ??

There is currently free access to the Liverpool records, including England & Scotland, Select Cemetery Registers, 1800-2016, from the link provided here
https://liverpool.gov.uk/libraries/archives-family-history/family-history/

Click on ancestry.
You do not have to live in Liverpool, or have a library card.

Sorry to hear that, Blue.
I just tried it using a free account on ancestry, and it works for me.

I think Arthur Edwin Paul's parents were buried at Everton Cemetery
Eliza Ann Paul, 24 Oct 1929, age 76
Section 7 Grave 212, owner James Paul.

James Paul buried 16 June 1931, age 82, same grave, owned the deceased.

Perhaps garstonite has come up with the answer to the question regarding their son in 1923.
