His residence looks like the parish of Cleobury Mortimer - or am I misunderstanding you?
West Yorks; ---- Illingworth, Marshall, Muffit/Muffett/Murfitt, Barber, Sanderson, Townend, Barraclough, Lister -- and lots more. Locations mainly in Birstall parish - Hartshead-- Drighlington --Adwalton --Mirfield - Heckmondwike --Kippax - Sherburn in Elmet.

Ireland ------Cleary, Whelan - Nenagh.
Dowling - Monasterevin
Daly - Westmeath

Lancashire ---- Smith from Alston , Johnson and Fairclough---- Tarleton and loads more from Tarleton and Accrington areas.

Shropshire
The Examination of Richard Hickman
an Inhabitant in the parish of Cleobury
Mortimer in the said County taken upon Oath
before Us two of his Majestys Justices Peace*
in and for the said County this Seventh day
of June 1770

This Examinant Saith that he hath Heard & believes
he was born in the parish of Fradgley[?]** in ye said County
where his father was Legally Settled and where he
lived untill he was about ten years of years*** when
he was Hired with his Uncle Richard Everall of the
parish of Leebotwood where he lived for ye Space of five
years and from thence he Came to Rowland Harleys[?]
of the parish of Morvill in the said County Husbandman
where he Continued two years  And some time afterwards
he went & was Hired with George Harris of the parish of
Priors Ditton in the said County where he Continued
two years  And saith he hath not done any Act
whatsoever but as above to Gain a Legal
Settlement and that he hath a Wife Named
Mary by whom he hath a Daughter Named Susannah
Aged about two years  And further saith Not

Sworn on the day and year
aforesaid Before
J. [...?]
Thos Brome

The Mark of
Richard X Hickman

* Justices of the Peace
** = Frodesly[?]
*** presumably should be 'years of age'

====
It looks like Ditton Priors was now his parish of lawful settlement, as he had been employed there continuously for two years. So on the basis of this sworn examination, the Cleobury Mortimer overseers would probably have obtained a removal order from the magistrates to send him to Ditton Priors.

Oh well done Bookbox (yet again) -- I had completely misunderstood this query - didn't realise it was a Settlement examination. Just thought it was an 'examination' and didn't read the document through.

Not that I would have deciphered everything you did anyway.

Thank you very much BookBox for your help,
Richard was born in Frodesley(fradgely) married in Ditton Priors,His Children born in Hopton wafers (Cleobury mortimer) and his mother spent her later life in Leebotwood so yes all places are correct i was looking to see if it held a clue about his Father He (Richard Hickman )was born in 1743 his mother Susan Hickman was unwed her grandfather left a will stating she could have some clocks provided she did not marry without her fathers consent and she married Richard Langford in 1746 just after her fathers  death the only clue i can see is his Uncle Richard Everall but dont know how connected but thank you once again for all your help
