Lookup - Jacob Rowlands Bala,Merionethshire

Hi,

I was looking for my 4xGGF Jacob Rowland/Rowlands. According to information I have he was born in Bala circa 1781. I'm looking for any parents/siblings he had.

Have you got access to the Llanycil parish records?

I've looked up baptisms on Findmypast. I'm not sure whether it has the Llanycil parish records. I've also searched on Freereg without luck.

I've checked them for around that time but couldn't see anything so far. The problem is that at that time, the records might well have been in the  patronymic form. My ancestors from the parishes around Llyn Tegid/Bala Lake (The Penllyn parishes) were recorded by both patronymic and surname form.

He might have been  something like John* ap Rowland.
