"on the 1st inst at Culham , Oxon, by the Rev Robt. Walker, the Vicar, William Edward HILLIARD Esq of Sydney New South Wales to Ellen Ann, third daughter of the late Frederic Deacon, Esq of Quorndon, Leicestershire

Evening Mail August 4th 1854

I am sure the one who dies in Australia is this man. and not the one married to Susannah

at the baptism of Thomas Holyoake HILLIARD at Lambeth, St John the Evangelist, William is a Druggist, address Cornwall Road.

There is a burial 27 May 1832 of a William HILLIARD of Union Street age 30 at St John, Hoxton, Hackney.
The only Union St I can see is in Lambeth not far from Cornwall Road

I don' t understand that last piece and the Lady of 56 but perhaps someone else does.

The timing of him being bankrupt and having to present in London 3 times, fits with Thomas's baptism doesn't it.

quite a lot of hits with Gatty at 2 Red Lion Square in newspaper as he was a lawyer
