Missing Marriage and Births.
« on: Friday 08 January 21 21:25 GMT (UK) »
Good evening one and all,

I hope someone can assist on this one for me.

Looking for a marriage between Francis Baker and Sarah unknown surname.

This is all the info I have:

1791 (approx): Sarah may have been born in Stourbridge, Worc.
1814-1819: Francis Baker a schoolteacher (not sure where I picked this up from)
1818: Son of Francis and Sarah; Francis Henry Baker born in Kinver, Staffordshire.
1841: Sarah Aged 45 a Widow b. in county (Living Park Street, Stourbridge, Worcestershire)
1851: Sarah Aged 60 a widow Born Worc, Stourbridge (still living at Park Street).
1861: Sarah Aged 69 a widow (mother in law) living Heath Street, Stourbridge.
1866: Sarah died aged 74 (BAKER, SARAH       74
GRO Reference: 1866  S Quarter in STOURBRIDGE  Volume 06C  Page 84).

So I am looking for:
  • Francis Baker's marriage to Sarah before 1818.
  • Death of Francis Baker Prior to 1841
  • Birth of Francis Baker.
  • Birth of Sarah (if we can locate her maiden name)

I am in touch with someone on Ancestry with a tree who is search for the same as me.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Looking at the trees on Ancestry none of them show the baptism of Thomas Baker in 1822 in Coventry, Warwickshire. Parents Francis & Sarah, occupation "School Master". Narrows down his death a little.

Thanks John.

1822 in Coventry is interesting.

Kinver is not far from Stourbridge, but Coventry seems a way away.

Defo worth looking in to.
