It is interesting that we have a "Uncle Shute" mentioned in the obit with a deceased wife Shirley.
Wondering if this Shute was the son of Reginald and Florence ?
This Shute is alive and living in Victoria British Columbia at the same address as recorded below.

Shirley R Shute was a cashier.

Canada Voters List 1963 shows this male Shute (no Shirley) living with Edna Wood and husband Robert Jones (carpenter).  They were the parents of a deceased daughter Shirley nee Wood Shute.
All living at 9637 Second Street Esquimalt, Saanich.
