« on: Monday 11 January 21 11:18 GMT (UK) »
Hi All
I am researching a family of Ferson,s from Ireland, and I member is giving me problems. That is Robert Ferson, born 14 Feb 1891 who I have records of in Ireland up to 1913,after that nothing.
I found the following Robert in New Jersey,at 16 Montpellier Av,Atlantic City ,details on First War Registration.no,1048
I cannot find any further details to confirm if this is my person.
Ie Census Returns,Army service,or immigration records so I,m asking for help if possible in any of these fields.
Many thanks

The draft registration card says he was born Cookstown, County Tyrone.

There is a Robert Fearson (mistranscribed as Feaster) of the right age who sailed to Halifax, Nova Scotia in June 1913 - https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:S3HY-6GF9-GJQ?i=10&cc=1823240&personaUrl=%2Fark%3A%2F61903%2F1%3A1%3A2HLD-GK5  It said he was going to Toronto, but maybe he opted for the US later?

Hi Shellyesk
Looking  at the travel document I think I see( going to brother, gen labourer) in Toronto.
I have a Thomas Ferson in Toronto who joined the army in 10 April 1916,giving address as 6 Chesley Av,Toronto.
Maybe we are getting somewhere.
