Hi Shellyesk
Looking  at the travel document I think I see( going to brother, gen labourer) in Toronto.
I have a Thomas Ferson in Toronto who joined the army in 10 April 1916,giving address as 6 Chesley Av,Toronto.
Maybe we are getting somewhere.

James Ferson born 4 September 1889 was living at that address on his attestation papers in 1916
Regimental Number - 237471 - form of will leaves any real estate to Miss Lillie/Tillie Taylor, 206 Russelhill Road, Toronto - mother Mrs Marie Ferson.
