would love to have the yellow spots removed from this family photo. William was born in Manchester 1841. Seen wearing his Indian Mutiny medal

Thank you so much Ian and japeflakes. Huge improvement. Greatly appreciated. 

The group photo at his feet has always intrigued me too. His fellow army veterans.
His service: 1857-1860 1st battalion 53rd (Shropshire) Regiment of Foot. 1860-1866 97th Foot.  1866-1878 3rd battalion Rifle Brigade. Held ranks from Private to Sergeant. Served in India and Yemen (Aden).

What a lovely photo, if you could scan just the small photo at a resolution of about 800-1200 dpi maybe we could see it better and form an opinion.
