That's great news Viktoria. Don't forget to wrap up well in case you have to wait outside. And then you'll have to take it all off so they can jab your arm!  :D

Thanks Roobarb.
Just a request and if you prefer not to answer , that is fine.
There is a painter who uses a very bold technique ,huge brushes ,scrapers etc and achieves quite interesting pictures,
Bob Ross.
They are to me what I would call “effect paintings “,I just wondered if you had seen him and if so what was your opinion.
Thanks in advance .
Goodnight .
Viktoria.

Viktoria - delighted to hear your new date for the vaccination has come through... as Roobarb says do wrap up warm... hate seeing anyone let alone elderly folk having to stand outside in the cold.... you would think they’d realise that having come from being inside and cosy all winter it’s not conducive for ones health...

Good luck anyway... will be thinking about you...

Many thanks, yes and especially as we are in the priority group with underlying health issues.
Thermal undies on Thursday, and some soup ready for when I get home ,it will have to be a “Chuck it all in “ soup !
Root veges and peas in the freezer, onions and potatoes, and the remains of the chicken .
In the pressure cooker ,veg stock  cube(s) Hey Presto!

A ceiling to wash if I let the pressure get too high!
Did that with rice pudding once —   ::)

Well, bath and  bed ,bath or my mother will haunt me ,that was a hard and fast rule, never ever get into a clean fresh bed unbathed .

Goodnight everyone and sleep well.
Viktoria.

Viktoria, I've seen a number of the Bob Ross programmes and I think he certainly has a talent for creating a painting in the way he does. However, I think he paints pretty much the same picture every time with slight variations. There's a lake and some mountains behind it, a group of trees to the left, sometimes a little cabin in the foreground. Other than that he paints a seascape, all to much the same format.
Although I acknowledge his talent as an artist I don't actually like his paintings, I find them all a bit 'twee '. They're very much of an era, not surprising as they date back to the 1970s . The artist himself has been dead for about 25 years so I should have been referring to him in the past tense.
Art is a very personal thing and I've no doubt that he still has many fans, I'm afraid that doesn't include me. But hey,  I'm just an amateur and he was a famous professional who probably made loads of money!

Exactly what I feel about them, they were in fashion for a good while ,and as you say more  a technique than a talent.
However ,I wish I could do anything as effective.
Thanks .real Goodnight this time.
Viktoria.
