Family tree
« on: Tuesday 12 January 21 14:12 GMT (UK) »
I was wondering if there is any possible information on my 4th great grandmother, Ann Bawl, who was born in 1791 in County Monaghan. She is the mother of John McCabe (b. 1809) and the grandmother of Patrick McCabe (b. 1832). At the time of the 1851 Census, the three of them (John and Patrick) were also born in Monaghan are living in Manchester.

Do you mean information on her going backwards ie who her parents were etc?

I see she is on the 1871 census under Ann Ball with a brother John McCabe aged 80 so a clue to her family there.

That would indicate she was Ann McCabe before she married a Mr Bawl or Ball but the children don't have the Ball surname  :-\

Note the 1851 census has both children as sons not one as a grandson, is that an error you think?
